Therapy

I offer psychodynamic therapy and psychoanalysis. After an initial consultation, I will suggest the kind of therapy that best fits to your needs and current situation. Depending on the form of therapy and your financial means the fees range between £60-90 per session. I work in person and online.

Psychodynamic Therapy
Psychodynamic therapy sees psychic suffering as a consequence of current conflicts or of unresolved experiences from earlier life phases. These unconscious conflicts and experiences can influence the present life and result in psychological pain. The aim of psychodynamic therapy is to identify unconscious motives and conflicts and to engage with them. Through insight into the dynamics and causes of the current problems, changes in experience and behaviour can be achieved. The sessions usually take place 1-2 times a week.

Psychoanalysis/Psychoanalytical Therapy
Psychoanalysis assumes that symptoms are caused and maintained by conflictual, unconscious processing of relationships and experiences over a lifespan. The recognition and awareness of repressed feelings, memories and patterns from childhood as well as the current life situation play a central role in the therapeutic relationship. Through an analytical process of working through, feelings that seem incomprehensible, but also painful and yet unavoidable repetitions in the biography, can be understood and changed. The sessions usually take place 2-4 times a week.
